All About Amandas Treasures

My name is Amanda and I am a professionally qualified upholsterer and soft furnisher, located on the cusp of the beautiful Charnwood national park in Coalville, Leicestershire.
Amandas Treasures was created in September 2016, to be the home of custom made curtains and upholstery for customers wishing to express themselves within their own home (alongside my in depth passion to upcycle and recycle unloved items).

The all-in-one service that I provide allows soft furnishings to be created from your own style and preference without having to arrange for mutiple trades people to take over.
 
With over 26 years of experience in interior design, upholstery and soft furnishings, I will be able to advise and offer you a designer solution for all home furnishings.​

EXPERTISE​

​At the age of 17 I embarked on an apprenticeship with a small upholstery company. During my time there, I completed my level 2 City & Guilds in modern upholstery and then went on to complete the City & Guilds level 3 in traditional upholstery.

Since then my thirst for knowledge, further led me to complete a level 2 & level 3 in soft furnishings to keep my knowledge and know-how up to date.

WHAT I OFFER
Curtains, upholstery and soft furnishings are one of the largest expenses in interior design. 

To avoid an expensive mistake, you need someone that can offer assurances of success first time around, and implemented in a way that you envisioned. 

My knowledge and skills are imperative to this, and I communicate my design intentions in a clear, and concise manner.
 
Creating an individual and elegant interior requires sensitivity and careful consideration.  So by listening to your needs, I can create your home's furnishings around these.

 I offer quality hand made curtains, re-upholstery or up-cycling, to allow for a change of style and to update a tired scheme instantly.

I have a mobile set-up so that I can carry out on-site repairs, or reupholstery, on sofas, chairs, and seating.

This is particulary advantageous for commercial reupholstery, as your seating can be upholstered without having to be removed from the site.
 
I also offer one to one tuition, or group upholstery sessions throughout the year alongside tuiton and coures for curtain making and soft furnishings. If these would be of interest to you then please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
 
Traditional upholstery has become a dying trade with very few having the knowledge to proceed.  I believe that it is important that age old skills are not lost within the passing decades, and are continued into centuries to come.
